Q: (on the Wisconsin team)
Greg Brunner: All those guys are really solid and their coach is extremely good.
Q: What was the reaction when you saw the Ohio State score?
Brunner: Someone from behind the bench yelled out 'Northwestern up by 1 with 30 seconds left', so we rushed into the locker room to watch it, saw the lay-up. It hurts, but we've got Wisconsin coming up and that's all we've got to worry about it
Q: How frustrating is it to not be able to control your own destiny?
Brunner: It's one of those situations we put ourselves in, you can't really do anything other than that. If you think about that too much, you don't key in on the wins you need to get. You can't worry about it, I guess. We're still sitting pretty, so...
Q: How great does a game like this feel when it starts to wind down when you're up by 30-something points at the end?
Brunner: It's nice to relax and not have to worry about the last 10 seconds of the game. It's comforting. It's fun to be on the bench at the end, too.
Q: How abut the defense, holding a team to under 40 points?
Brunner: I think we held them to 25% shooting, I think that's the lowest of their season. They're a team that's playing extremely well right now. I think that helps us, we got a little more confident on the defensive end.
Q: Were you surprised to still be in the game with 10 minutes left in a blowout?
Brunner: I think it was because we didn't have another 4. We had Alex in at the 3, we wanted him to guard Claxton. Coach noticed it and got me out as quick as he could.
