Jeff Horner

Just to let you know, that's nine games left.

I want to start off by thanking all the yellow coats, you've always been there for us, [unintelligible] telling us good luck, you guys have been awesome. I'd like to thank all the facilities people, they've been the nicest people in the world, having to put up the volleyball nets, take them down, put up our baskets, things like that, it's awesome what you guys do.

I'd like to thank Coach Streif. He's been awesome for four years, I still remember when I came to camp here, he treated me after I got kneed in the thigh in 7th grade. I've known the guy ever since, he's the nicest man I've ever met. He's always been there for us. Thank you Bill Maxwell, our strength coach. He's put up with a lot of my crap for four nears now, so I'm sure it's been a lot of fun for him.

(To Brunner) No, I don't need to write my names down.

I'd like to thank the managers for all the stuff they put up with us, rebounding, coming in on nights when they don't have to, they've been awesome, all the managers in the past and present, so thanks.

All my teammates, they've been with us for four years now, and I've got to give a shout-out to JR Angle, cause he gave me a couple tickets today. Jack (Brownlee) kind of slammed his last year, so I was hoping to get shout out to him.

The coaches. Coach Jones, you've been awesome. You've always been there for us when we're down, the scouting reports, you do the dirty work a lot of the time, I just want to thank you for everything you do for us.

Coach Lansing, kind of on the same page as BJ, you do all the dirty work, you've been there for us. Can't tell you enough how much I love being able to work with you for the past four years. I can still remember the first time you came to watch me play. I won't say when it was, but it was a good time.

Coach Walker, you've been like a second father to me, too. You've been there for me and I've been along for the ride with him.

Coach Neal, who has come in the last few years and really taught me how to be a point guard. He just taught me a lot of things that I could do to get to the next level. This family accepted me in, that's the biggest thing about this program, all the coaches accept you into their family. If you ever need anything, they're right there.

Coach Alford. (Pause, applause) We've been on the ride for about four years now, it hasn't been always good, but the way we ended it this year was just awesome. I just want to thank you for always being there for me, I know you'll be there for me in the future. You've been like a second father to me. I just want to thank Tanya Alford, who has to put up with all of us for Thanksgiving and the Super Bowl, stuff like that. It's been a lot of fun. Kayla, Bryce, and Kory, I give you guys some love too.

I'd like to thank Steve Roe, Jerry Strom, Paul Weir, he came in this year, doing awesome. I'd like to thank the media. It's been a lot of fun, and we're giving you some stuff to write about this year. We're giving you things to write that are positive and [unintelligible].

Bobby and Dolph, for doing all of our games, doing an awesome job. All the cheerleaders and dance team, a lot of respect for what you guys do, you've been awesome. I want to thank the students and all the fans that come out here. I know we haven't given you all that much to cheer about the last 3 years, it's been pretty tough on you guys too, like I said in the paper. We've finally done our part for you guys, and hopefully we can keep this tradition and pack this place.

Brunner asked me thank Charles City. I guess he didn't write that one down.

I'd like to thank Mason City. You guys have been awesome, you have always been there for me and supported me, and just great to be from there.

And now, my family. (Pause, applause) My sisters, [unintelligible] If I'm down, they've always been there. My sister Heather, [unintelligible] been to a lot of my games, stuff like that, she's just been awesome. I want to thank my sister for flying all the way from California today. All three of you have always been there for me.

I just want to thank God for giving me a second chance. I thought I was done, 6 games in, 7 games in, but he saved my knee there. I just want to thank him for that. I want to thank my parents. I don't think I tell them I love them enough, which everyone should do if you get a chance. I just want to thank them, they've both been there for me, driving me on AAU trips, driving me places where I need to go for baseball, basketball, and football in High School. Just making it to all my games, they did great. I couldn't ask for better parents.

I also want to thank my girlfriend, I didn't forget.

I'll let you go tonight, thank you for everything you've done for me, it was great to go out with a win, thanks.
