Hawks Snare Two Instate Commitments

Chris Pool of Scout.com informed HawkeyeNation.com this afternoon that Iowa received its first two verbal football commitments of the year in Bettendorf WR Colin Sandeman and Humboldt DL Cody Hundertmark.

Colin Sandeman turned in a solid performance at Scout.com Iowa City combine back in April, and the same could be said for Cody Hundertmark. Sandeman had an offer from Iowa prior to coming to the camp, but Hundertmark did not. His efforts in front of the Iowa coaching staff helped him gain that offer.

Scout.com and HawkeyeNation.com will speak with the two newest Hawkeyes and provide their thoughts on their early pledges to Iowa.

NOTE: Hundertmark's high school teammates, Tyler Nielsen, also has a verbal scholarship offer from Iowa. Also, Julian Vandervelde of Davenport committed to Iowa last year, but he is a gray shirt prospect who will be enrolled at Iowa in the fall, but will be a part of the recruiting class of 2007. That gives Iowa three commits in the class of 2007, all from the state of Iowa.
