In the past month, Devlin has made unofficial visits to Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Boston College, Pitt, Iowa, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. In May, he also made an unofficial visit out to Stanford.
Those visits helped him narrow his current list down to six schools, and according to Devlin, it is a close race.
"There are two schools that are a little above the others right now, but there isn't much separation, at all," added Devlin, who plans to major in pre-med in college. "Really, all six schools are very close, and I know I couldn't go wrong in choosing any of them. I have to sit down and talk things over with my parents and coach. I feel I know everything I need to know about each school."
Part of that knowledge is what position he will play on the collegiate level. "Iowa is the only school that has told me I'll play offensive tackle coming in as a freshman. Otherwise, all the schools have said I'll start out at tight end, and if I get too big, then I'll make the move. It doesn't matter to me, really, as long as I'm playing the position that will help the team the most," Devlin stated.
Devlin holds a 4.4 GPA and scored an 1860 on the SAT.
