"Iowa has a great program. They've been to the bowl games after January 1 for the past four years. I get along with the coaching staff well because they're competitive like me, and they make me feel at home. I visited during March for their junior day and in June for camp," McNutt said.
"Indiana's coaches are the family type. I went to their camp in early June, and the last few years they've really been building up their program," he said.
"Missouri is close to home so I would be able to play in front of a lot of family. I took a visit unofficially in May, and I've also played basketball and baseball tournaments there.
"I'm being recruited to play basketball from small schools, but I probably won't take up a basketball offer. My future is in football and if I go to a major college with a football scholarship, I won't be playing any basketball in college," he said. McNutt is a shooting guard and small forward, and averages 20 points per game.
"I thought about committing before the season, but then I thought again, and I might decide during the season. I want enough time to think about my decision and see what else happens."
McNutt scored 12 TDs last season and had approximately 1300 yards passing.
He reports a 3.2 core GPA and a 20 ACT.
