Q: Did you ever think you'd get to the point you're at today while you were rehabbing those injuries?
Albert Young: Up to that point, in practice, I'd had success, it was just a matter of getting on the game field and doing it. It was just something I knew could happen.
Q: How difficult was that for you mentally and emotionally?
Young: The first time it wasn't really anything, but the second time, the ACL, that came down hard on me. I know how serious that injury is. You have your doubts in there, but you stay strong and keep pushing. Things will happen.
Q: So many times during the last few days, Media Days, talking about other players' injuries, Kirk's said he's hoping for the "Albert Young Story"
Young: He said that?
Q: Yeah, he's said it 3 or 4 times. If you had to put the next chapter in the book, what would it be? What would your perfect season be?
Young: It's all speculation, but just win the Big Ten Title. I'm not worried about anything else. Whatever we've got to do to win the Big Ten title, that'd be the dream season.
Q: I was talking to Damian, he said the one thing that he seems to do that you don't is break the long run, he said you told him that. Do you feel like you've got that long run in you this year?
Young: Definitely. It's going to be there. That's just something we'll see.
Q: Do you feel like your body can hold up 30, 35 carries like it did last year?
Young: I'm only bigger and stronger, so I don't see why not.
