Q: You haven't been able to get your feet planted, you've had some injuries, things like that. What are you trying to do this year to stay on the field?
Eric McCollom: Obviously stay healthy. Injuries have been a big key in my career. Hopefully God will keep me healthy this year, other than that, just going out there and being consistent in practice.
Q: Both you and Jason Manson QBs that have had some time at WR, have you guys teamed up to try and share knowledge, get that transition going?
McCollom: It's a hard transition. A lot of people might not think it is, but going from QB to receiver, it's a lot more running, running routes, more knowledge of running routes and reading defenses at receiver vs the quarterback position. We both have been practicing hard.
Q: There's been a lot of talk about the inexperience at WR coming in. Do you take that as a challenge to step up and do your best with what's there?
McCollom: Yeah. Any time of player that wants to show people that they can do it is going to take it as a challenge. I know a lot of receivers take it as a challenge, the receivers are looked upon this year to break out. If you don't take it as a challenge, then something's wrong with you.
Q: Do you sense these guys are ready to make a breakout?
McCollom: Yeah, everybody's working hard. That's all I can say right now. I don't know who's going to break out, nobody knows who's going to break out. Every day in practice, you just want to please the coaches and work hard.
McCollom: They're looking real good, real smooth.
