Do you like when it gets down to fourth and inches?

It‘s a challenge. Once you‘re presented with the challenge, you want to say, "Hey. Look. We‘re either stopping them or we‘re not. Today, we stepped up to the challenge.

It was a heck of a way to step back on the field.

It was fun.

Did you get gassed out there at all?

I mean, for a little bit. It‘s always hard when you‘re out. But it was fun. I would have been out there every single play if they wanted me to.

You call those last seven downs with you were down within the two fun?

Yeah, you‘re going to get tired playing football. But the challenge is what you play for. The fact that we can look back and say, "Hey, we stopped them. Penalties. Whatever." We came out on top.

Did you guys get what you expected? We talked about not playing this game on paper on Tuesday.

Exactly. Syracuse is a very good team. Whoever you play, they‘re going to come out and play. They‘re at home. We expected them to come out and try to run it up on us. They‘re an NCAA Division I team just like we are. Rankings or anything, it doesn‘t matter. You have to go out there and play the game.

Goal line stands in football are like triple plays in baseball. They don‘t happen often. You had two or three.

It was fun, just looking back at it. I‘m proud of these guys that I play with. Nobody went out there and was feeling sorry for themselves. We made some mistakes in the game. We just fought back. It was a good time seeing these guys fight.
