Q: (A question on number of turnovers today)
Bryan Mattison: We needed aggressive play, we needed to get some turnovers. I can't put my finger on anything that we did, it's just different. We got some, so that's all that matters.
Q: You got some pressure on the QB today.
Mattison: Yeah, we did. That's what we're trying for every down they pass. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. We just happened to get some this week.
Q: He's pretty quick, isn't he?
Mattison: Yeah. He's a real quick quarterback. Give credit to him, he got away from us quite a bit. He's just a good player.
Q: I guess that'll give you some training for next week when you face another quick quarterback.
Mattison: That's right. I'm just trying to enjoy this one first. Tomorrow we'll watch film. Come Monday we'll start Ohio State week.
Q: You hadn't gotten a lot of turnovers, you did today.
Mattison: I think it just comes from aggressive play. Someone else asked what causes that, and I can't put my finger on anything else besides playing aggressive. You're going to get some penalties here and there from that, but it's football, that's part of it.
Q: How much fun is next week going to be? A night game, national television, #1 team in the country.
Mattison: It's going to be fun. I think we're all excited for this win. In the back of our mind, we're kind of thinking about that one now that this one is over. It'll be a fun game, a good atmosphere.
Q: You get your focus real quick.
Mattison: Definitely. I like to enjoy this win for now, then with the 24-hour rule, we'll be looking toward Ohio State.
Q: Was it hard to not look ahead this week?
Mattison: No, not at all. We respect Illinois, we always have. We've always had trouble playing here in the past. You can't look past anyone in the Big Ten, or the nation. A few years ago you can say, "We'll get this one if we sleepwalk." But everyone's got athletes, everyone's got good players in today's football. You can't look past anyone.
