Q: Last game, against the gophers, you're on a slide a bit, talk about trying to regroup.
Edmond Miles: We've just got to get prepared. Last game was a lot of effort, but we've got to minimize our mistakes. It's a big game for us, and it's sure as hell a big game for them. We just have to come out ready to play and play Iowa football, we should be fine.
Q: What's the motivation for this week? No Big Ten title, no January bowl game, what do you play for?
Miles: Just finishing strong, getting #7, we'll let everything else fall into place. Right now our focus is just beating Minnesota.
Q: How much does the rivalry factor into your preparation this week? What do you think about this game?
Miles: It's a fun rivalry. We've had the trophy for a couple years, it's always a big game to get ready for. What more can you ask for? It's a big rivalry to Iowa and Minnesota, it's going to be a fun game to play.
Q: Give any thought that this is the 100th meeting between the two teams?
Miles: I haven't given that though. Is it? (laughs) It should be fun, a great environment. They have good fans. Hopefully our fans come and have a good turnout. It's going to be fun. We're just looking to finish strong, get #7 and that's all you can ask for.
Q: Do you remember how Iowa fans were up there last time you guys played?
Miles: I don't remember exactly, I know it was a lot. It felt like home, that's what it felt like.
Miles: I don't know. It's going to be a big game, a good game. I don't see any high scoring, but it should be a good game. I don't know who's going to win, but may the best team win.
