Midlands Recap: Hawkeyes finish second

The Iowa Hawkeyes competed in the 44th Midlands Championships over the weekend.

Iowa finished up competiton at the Midlands tournament last night, with some pleasant surprises and some work left to do.

In the team race, Iowa State took control and dominated, finishing at 154.0. Iowa finishes second at 107.0 and host Northwestern followed at 102.0. Central Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois were 4th through 6th respectively.

Northwestern was the only school to crown two champions (Lang at 141 and Tamillow at 197). Iowa State had one champion (Paulson at 165). Iowa's lone champion was Eric Luedke at 174#.
