Patrick Grant, a 6-4, 215 rush end prospect out of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida spent the weekend in Iowa City. Read about his visit and his plans for the future in this premium recruiting update.

Patrick Grant took an official visit to Iowa City this weekend. He is the third player from Boyd Anderson HS to visit Iowa City on an official visit.

Grant was hosted by current Iowa defensive lineman Kenny Iwebema. Grant said he had a good time on his visit, pointing out the coaching staff in particular.

"(The staff) is very stable," Grant said. "They know what their goals are and what they want."

Grant was also surprised by how well the players got along on the team.

Grant, who also runs track, said he currently weighs about 215 pounds, but the coaching staff hopes to add another 20 to 30 pounds onto his 6-4 frame, while keeping his speed.

Grant said he will visit Ohio State next weekend, and likely make his decision after that visit.

Grant had previously been a verbal commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but has recently reopened his recruitment.
