Chimso Okoji, a LB out of Kennedy HS in Silver Spring, Maryland took an official visit to Iowa City this weekend, and came away with a new offer.

Okoji, who was hosted by Marcus Wilson on his visit, said he was excited about receiving this latest offer from Iowa.

In talking with the coaches and learning about the schemes, one thing stuck out to Okoji.

"They don't blitz too much, but you're always in the right position because of how much you watch film and things like that," Okoji said of Iowa's defense.

Before his visit, Okoji said he was expecting Iowa City to be a lot like any other college town in the country, despite the stereotypes around the nation of what Iowa is like.

"I made a joke to the coaching staff that I was in Iowa for a whole weekend and didn't see a single cow," he said.

Okoji took the visit on his own, but his parents had a few things they wanted him to look into while on campus.

"They wanted to know about the school, the academic side and their business school," Okoji said, as he plans to major in business when he gets to his college destination.

Okoji, who tentatively plans to visit Virginia next week, said he would likely be making a decision during the first week of February.
