Fisher visited Iowa City for their junior day event several weeks ago, and came away impressed.
"It was nice to see the academic side of things," Fisher said. "I was really impressed with everything."
Fisher had been in contact with the Iowa coaching staff for some time now, and said that outside of the Nebraska offer he already has, he's hoping to receive one from the Hawkeyes, saying they have made mention that an offer may be coming soon.
Standing 6-5 and weighing 210 pounds, Fisher doesn't fit the mold of a prototypical safety prospect, and he knows it.
"At my school, the safety position plays the run a lot, so I know how to hit," Fisher said. "A lot of schools are talking about me as an outside linebacker."
Fisher said he hopes to gain 10-15 pounds before his senior season begins this fall.
Kansas State has invited Fisher to their junior day. Fisher also plans to attend Nebraska's junior day on February 24th.
