Cotton Enjoys Another Iowa City Visit

Ben Cotton, a 6-6, 210-pound TE out of Ames (Iowa) HS visited Iowa City for another Hawkeye junior day today. Read about his visit and his future plans in this premium recruiting update.

Ben Cotton was one of several recruits in Iowa City this weekend for another Iowa junior day. With highs near 80 and sunny skies, it was great weather for spring football.

"It was pretty good," Cotton said of his visit. "There were a lot of kids down there, it was a really nice day out. We got to see practice, sit in on meetings with individual coaches, Tight Ends for me. We got to see what the coaching experience was like at Iowa."

In those meetings, Cotton got a chance to see how the players at Iowa interact with the staff.

"It was pretty much what I expected," Cotton said. "They went over stuff from the day before's practice. They looked more on installing stuff, watched some more film, and headed out to practice. It was pretty much what I expected."

Overall, the day made a positive impression on Cotton, who currently holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin, and Kansas.

"I was very impressed," Cotton said. "I loved the way that the coaches coached in practice and what they did in the classroom. I liked the way they ran things over there, it was pretty good."

Cotton has said he hopes to make a decision before August, which means a busy Summer visiting campuses. We'll check in throughout his recruiting process to see how it's going.
