"We got in on Saturday," Ford said. "We went to the practice, took a short tour. Today, we did the same thing. We took a tour around the stadium, then the building. We had meetings with the players and coaches with your position, to see wht they do. We watched the highlight video, then had some pizza."
Ford, who recently received an offer from Minnesota, said he was impressed with the speed of the Iowa practice, the precision.
"Everything just went back-to-back-to-back, real quick," he said.
Coming away from the visit, Ford moved Iowa up on his list of possible schools.
"It was the first time I'd been there, so it gave me a chance to learn more about Iowa," he said. "I got to talk with Coach Ferentz more."
While in Iowa City, he also got a chance to meet with a few current Hawkeyes and one former Iowa and NFL player.
Ford, who has said he hopes to make a decision before his senior season, said he doesn't have any other junior day visits planned soon. We'll check in with him during the summer to see how things are going.
