Jason Ford Looks Into The Hawkeyes

Jason Ford, a 5-10, 215 pound RB out of Althoff Catholics HS in Belleville, Ill. has taken a junior day visit to Iowa City. Read about a new offer, his day in Iowa City, and a change in his top schools in this premium recruiting update.

Jason Ford, one of the top RBs in the Midwest, took a visit to Iowa City this past weekend for another Iowa Junior Day. He spent an extra day in Iowa City, arriving on Saturday.

"We got in on Saturday," Ford said. "We went to the practice, took a short tour. Today, we did the same thing. We took a tour around the stadium, then the building. We had meetings with the players and coaches with your position, to see wht they do. We watched the highlight video, then had some pizza."

Ford, who recently received an offer from Minnesota, said he was impressed with the speed of the Iowa practice, the precision.

"Everything just went back-to-back-to-back, real quick," he said.

Coming away from the visit, Ford moved Iowa up on his list of possible schools.

"It was the first time I'd been there, so it gave me a chance to learn more about Iowa," he said. "I got to talk with Coach Ferentz more."

While in Iowa City, he also got a chance to meet with a few current Hawkeyes and one former Iowa and NFL player.

"I talked to a couple players, Jake Christensen, Dominique Douglas, Albert Young," he said. "Then I talked to Ronnie Harmon a lot."

Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio State, Florida, Wisconsin, and Illinois are currently at the top for Jason.

Ford, who has said he hopes to make a decision before his senior season, said he doesn't have any other junior day visits planned soon. We'll check in with him during the summer to see how things are going.
