Adam Robinson, a 5-9, 180 pound RB from Lincoln HS in Des Moines, Iowa was in Iowa City this weekend with teammate L.J. Gamblin, taking in another Iowa Junior Day. A busy day for all involved, it started off with some conversations with fellow recruits.
"Everyone talked, I got to know some of the other recruits," Robinson said. "They showed us the weight room, and Coach Doyle talked about the weight program and how they train all their players.
"We split up into our position groups, and met with our position coaches and some of the players on the team. We watched game film and they showed us all the positions and stuff like that. After that, we went out and watched some practice."
One thing that stood out for Robinson wasn't even something on the practice field.
"They watched a lot of game film," he said. "We were in the game film room for an hour or so. I was kind of surprised how much film they watched."
The level of intensity stood out as well.
"This was my first time being at a practice at Iowa and it was a very high-intensity practice," he said. "A lot of yelling, hard-hitting, stuff like that.
"I definitely like the high intensity. Football's a pretty rough game, you've got to have your intensity high."
We'll check in with Adam throughout his recruitment to see how his college evaluations are progressing.
