Sanni, who holds offers from his top four, has seen a rise in recruiting attention recently. As he gets nearer to his decision.
"A lot of coaches that I've talked to, in the beginning of my recruiting process, they're starting to pick up. Hopefully I get more of my film out there to college coaches, then through the first two games of my season, then I'll make my choice."
Sanni's teammate, Russell Ellington, was an early verbal to Iowa State, but has recently been reconsidering his verbal, opening up his options. Sanni and Ellington have thought about the possibility of going to the same school, but it's not their explicit goal.
"It's definitely a possibility," Sanni said. "Most of the schools that offered him have offered me too. It's definitely a possibility. People bring that up to us, but we've never really talked about it like that. Before the season, I'll probably talk to him and see how it's looking, maybe we'll have the option to go to the same school. We're not recruiting towards going to the same school."
Sanni said he's looking for a school that allows him the chance to get on the field as quickly as possible.
"Basically, I want to get on the field as fast as possible, and where I fit into their program," he said. "Some schools see me as a FS, some as a WR. And their coaching staff, the way they talk to their players, things like that.
"Illinois is recruiting me for the defensive side, all the other schools are recruiting me for wide receiver."
Sanni said he doesn't plan on narrowing his list down any further before making his decision, instead hoping to keep it "wide open."
