Q: First game, you had as many catches as the other guys out there.
Charles Godfrey: It's a good thing, they've got the DL, with the push. They're working hard. That's what we're trying to do, get in there, take the ball away, and give it back to our offense so they come out and score.
Q: Typical first-game jitters there at the beginning of the game, both teams kind of out of place. As the game wore on, experience and position got righted.
Godfrey: That's the key. They're going to make plays, it's about us bouncing back and getting back to stopping them from consistently making those plays. That's a good thing.
Q: The route where you jumped way back to get the pick, was that a route you jumped or just the position you were in?
Godfrey: I saw the QB aiming, so I jumped back and made the play. Any time a ball is in there, it's time for me to make a play. I just made the play.
Q: On that pick, were you playing zone, then jumped back?
Godfrey: Yeah. We were in cover 2, and I just jumped back, saw the QB aiming, I grabbed the pick.
Q: What about the second one, the one that hit the guy?
Godfrey: Just concentrating on the ball. Just catch the ball.
Q: The defense today, only gave up 3 points, no matter the opponent, that's got to give you confidence.
Godfrey: That was good. Any time you can hold an opponent to 3 points, no matter who it is, that's a good thing.
Q: Pretty fun playing in a pro stadium like this?
Godfrey: I love this game. I want to thank the Bears for having us here and letting us come mess around on the field a bit.
Q: That flea flicker that beat you guys, it was a crucial pick to keep them off the board. If they score, it's 13-10 and they're back in the game. W hat was that momentum like?
Godfrey: Any time you have a turnover, giving the offense the ball, it's a good thing. You never give up, even on a big play. It's not over until it's over, even in the redzone. I came up with the pick, and that's a good thing.
