This week, Iowa matches up with Wisconsin. Iowa has typically played well up in Madison, and the video game simulation was no different.
After a week of fans calling for more aggressive playcalling, the Hawks opened the game with a flea-flicker, which went to Tony Moeaki for a first down. They drove down the field, making their way into the red zone before being forced to settle for an Austin Signor field goal. This would turn out to be the theme of the day.
After another field goal put the Hawks up 6-0, Wisconsin put together a 9-play drive, capping it with a PJ Hill touchdown run.
Coming out of halftime, the Hawks forced a three-and-out, driving down the field to ago ahead 9-7 on another Austin Signor field goal.
Wisconsin responded early in the fourth quarter with a field goal of their own. Midway through the final period, Austin Signor lined up for a 37 yard field goal that he sent sailing through the uprights to put the Hawks up 12-10 with just under four minutes to go.
