Ford Makes Another Stop In Iowa City

Jason Ford, a soft verbal to Iowa, took another visit to Iowa City this weekend to make sure he's headed to the right place. Read what Ford had to say about Iowa's 10-6 victory, talking with a Super Bowl Champ, Iowa's crowd and more in this premium recruiting update.

Jason Ford, a four-star RB who had originally committed to Iowa before re-opening his recruitment recently, took another visit to Kinnick Stadium this weekend as the Hawkeyes beat the #18/19 Illinois Fighting Illini.

Ford, who had been reportedly considering Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Missouri, said this visit puts Iowa squarely at the top of his list.

"Iowa is still my number one," Ford said. "The crowd was crazy, it was great. They stayed till the end."

Ford had previously visited Iowa City to see Iowa's 35-0 trouncing of the Syracuse Orange back in September. At that game, much of the crowd had left by the end of the blowout, as it was a 7pm start.

"I can't explain it, it just separated itself from every visit I've had to far. It was the best one I've ever had."

Another difference in this week's visit was the presence of former Hawkeye All-American, Mackey Award Winner, and current member of the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Clark.

"It was really good," Ford said of the opportunity to meet Clark. "He was telling us how good Coach Doyle is, and how good of a coach Ferentz is. It got me real interested."

Next weekend, Ford will be visiting Champaign to watch the Illini take on Michigan, and will likely visit Wisconsin after his high school season is finished. Once those two visits are done with, he said he should be ready o finalize his decision.
