Iowa Adds Two More

Two recruits, while on a visit this weekend, have made their verbal commitments to the Iowa Hawkeyes. These are the second and third commitments for the Hawkeyes in the past 48 hours, after 3-star QB John Wienke joined the Hawkeyes 2008 class on Saturday. Find out who these young men are in this premium recruiting update.

Jewel Hampton, a 5-11, 200 pound RB out of Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and Joe Gaglione, out of Lake Catholic HS in Mentor, Ohio have committed to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Gaglione, who earned second-team all defense and honorable mention LB at the Scout.com combine in Pittsburgh this year, ran a 4.6 40-yard dash and had a 31-inch vertical leap, both tops among middle linebackers.

Jewel Hampton had an amazing senior year, racking up well over 2000 yards, and more than 25 touchdowns, averaging nearly 10 yards per carry.

Both players are currently on airplanes headed home, but we hope tos peak with them when they land.
