Riley Reiff: Back Where He Started

Riley Reiff of Parkston, SD committed to the Iowa football program in the spring. In October, he took a visit to Lincoln and changed his mind, pledging to the Cornhuskers. After a change at the top of the Nebraska football program and athletic department, Reiff has changed his mind again, and he is right back where he started...

Riley Reiff, at 6-foot-6 and 230-pounds, Reiff is a force to be reckoned with at the tight end and defensive end position. That is why is such a coveted recruit.

Reiff, who spent a lot of time in Lincoln this summer working on campus doing restoration work, was supposedly a lean to Nebraska following an unofficial visit for the spring game. Shortly after that visit he became the first commit in the Iowa class.

In October, Reiff decided to flip on his commitment after making a trip to Lincoln for a game early in the season. Reiff would only remain a commitment for a little longer than two months though.

Multiple sources have confirmed to Big Red Report that Riley Reiff has again decided to become a Hawkeye. No one from the Reiff residence was available to comment and Big Red Report was told earlier in the week by someone at the Reiff's that there would be no more interviews until Reiff signs in February.

HN NOTE: Word of Reiff's recommitment to Iowa began to surface on the HawkeyeNation.com message boards early Thursday, and when we were able to speak with Reiff's parents on Thursday night, they would not provide a comment on Riley's recruitment. But Big Red Report did receive confirmation that he had committed to Iowa.
