Chris Babb Visiting Iowa City

Iowa Coach Todd Lickliter said earlier this week that he and his staff have targeted the prospects they're hoping to sign this spring. on Saturday, one of the top targets, Chris Babb. took in the Hawkeye-Illinois game at Carver. He talked about his visit so far and when he's looking to make a decision.

You got here (on Friday), what do you think of your visit so far?

I really like it. You know, I like the small-town atmosphere. Everyone is just friendly around here. There are great young coaches that have great plans for the future of the school; getting them back to where they used to be.

When did Iowa first get involved with you?

A couple of weeks ago, Coach (LaVall) Jordan came down and watched me work out and stuff. He called me the next day and told me that I had an offer. So, I came to visit.

What are the other schools you‘re looking at besides Iowa?

Penn State, I‘m taking a visit there next week. There are a couple of schools in the Big 12 that are interested. I‘ll just go from there.

When would you like to make a decision by?

After I get home from my Penn State visit, there‘s another school that I want to go look at. By the end of March, I‘m just going to sit down and make a pros and cons list for the schools and go from there.

What is most important to you? What are you looking for when you take these visits?

It‘s just where I feel most comfortable. I want to be around good people and great coaches like this school has.
