Harrison Barnes Discusses Iowa Visit

In building back up the Iowa program, Coach Todd Lickliter and his staff are hard at work scouting players in the next few classes. They've gone into rival territory to offer Harrison Barnes of Ames, who was in town on Saturday for the Illinois game. He said it would be premature for people to think he's an Iowa State lock.

You're a kid from Ames, how serious are you about Iowa?

Right now, everybody is equal. It will just be a decision that I make when it‘s time about what‘s bext for me.

Iowa State has to be in there, right?

Well, the three schools that have offered me are Iowa State, Indiana State and Iowa.

What is your game like for people that haven‘t seen you play?

I like to drive but I can also shoot the three and post up.

Do you consider yourself an outside player at this point?

I can do both. I can play inside and outside efficiently.

So, for people to assume that you‘re going to go to Iowa State, that‘s premature?

Yes. That‘s right.
