Return to Normalcy; Hawks Dominate Nationals
It's all over in St. Louis and the verdict is in; the Iowa Wrestling program is back, and with a vengeance. Iowa finished this year's nationals with 117.5 team points, 38.5 points ahead of runner up Ohio State. Hawks Clinch Team Title; Finals Await
Iowa has clinched the 2008 National Wrestling Tournament team championship, the 21st in school history. They have also crowned seven All Americans for the first time since 2001. Jay Borschel wrestled to a third place finish in Saturday morning's medal round, while senior Matt Fields was fifth, junior Charlie Falck and sophomore Phil Keddy finished sixth. Three Hawks are in tonight's finals.

Iowa Wrestlers Clinch 2008 National Title!
Even though Tom Brands didn't want to talk about it or admit it at the conclusion of Friday night's semifinal round, ESPNU reported during their broadcast that the Hawkeyes have clinched the 2008 National Championship. Joey Slaton (133), Brent Metcalf (149) and Mark Perry (165) will wrestle for titles tomorrow night, while four other Hawkeyes have already clinched All American status as well...
