Football Fan Appreciation Day Saturday

IOWA CITY – The nationally ranked Iowa football team believes turnabout is fair play and will salute its fans Saturday during its game with Northwestern. It marks the second annual Iowa Football Fan Appreciation Day.

Throughout the first two quarters randomly selected seat locations will be displayed on HawkVision -- the large-scale video display located inside the main scoreboard. Fans who present game tickets that match winning seat locations will win a variety of prizes ranging from gifts from the Iowa Hawk Shop, pairs of tickets to next year's home games, and two "Super Hawk Packages" that include a pair of tickets to whatever bowl game the 2002 Iowa Hawkeyes participate in.

Fans with winning tickets will have until the end of the third quarter to claim their prize. The prize redemption center will be located in the south concourse of Kinnick Stadium, immediately below the main scoreboard.

"Fan Appreciation Day" is just one small way to say 'Thanks' to the best fans in college football," said Football Coach Kirk Ferentz.
