Washington Loves Visit to Iowa City

This past weekend, after having four scheduled official visitors, the Hawkeyes ended up with only one. However, despite being a solo visitor, RB/CB Terry Washington still happened to love his visit to Iowa City. Get the latest on whether that moved Iowa up to the #1 spot and the other visits he will be completing.

Cleveland NJROTC tailbackTerry Washington is one of the top athletes in Saint Louis this season, as top D-I recruiters have taken notice.

"I have offers from Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin," Washington told Heartland Recruiting on Tuesday night. "I made a visit last weekend to Iowa and it was great. I really loved it."

Does that mean Washington has a favorite?

"Not really," he replied. "I still have official visits to Indiana December 6th, Illinois December 13th, and Wisconsin December 20th. I'm still pretty open."

Washington has been ‘open' on the field all season, rushing for an impressive 2,025 yards on only 203 carries with 33 touchdowns. He's also returned two kickoffs for scores (both 95-yards) and has two interceptions at corner.

Washington hopes to ‘up' those numbers this week.

"We play Clayton on Wednesday (November 13th) in the first round," he said."

The five-foot-ten ½, 187-pound senior runs a 4.4 forty and 10.7 100-meter. He has a 245 lb-bench, 375-lb squat and 33-inch vertical leap. Washington carries a 2.4 core GPA and is awaiting ACT test results he took in October.
