Reddick Gives Hawkeyes Verbal Commitment #9

The Iowa Hawkeyes received encouraging news this weekend with the verbal commitment of one of the nation's elite cornerbacks in the JUCO ranks, Corey Reddick. Corey will enter Iowa in January and immediately enter the mix to replace senior DJ Johnson.

HTO.com was the first place to bring Hawk fans the name of JUCO Corey Reddick. It also did not take too much research on my behalf in talking to sources and coaches in Kansas to find out just how highly Corey Reddick is regarded.

Below are the 2002 stats for Reddick:

47 Tackles
17 Pass Break-Ups
4 Tackles for Loss
3 Interceptions
2 Punt Returns for TD
1 Interception Return for TD

HTO.com caught up with Garden City Community College Defensive Back Coach Tim Schaffner to gain these comments on Corey.

"Corey is an outstanding young man, whose talent is only matched by his character. Corey is a tremendous prospect and is destined for great things on the next level. He will have a positive impact wherever he goes. It has been my pleasure to watch Corey develop and mature as a player and a young man over the past two years."

HTO.com will catch up with Corey very soon for a follow-up story.
