The Iowa Hawkeyes had a large number of recruits in house this weekend. Defensive Line prospect Louis Trinca from Chicago (Lane Tech) spoke to HawkeyeNation about his visit.

It may have been the third time he visited the Iowa City campus, but this weekend was a little bit different for Chicago Lane Tech defensive end Louis Trinca.

"I got to be in on a team meeting." Trinca states. "It was fun and very interesting. I got to be right there as they practiced and did their drills."

The 6'3", 235 outside linebacker came away impressed with the players and coaches for the Hawkeyes.

"They are intense there (at Iowa)." Louis says. "It was exciting. I wanted to throw on some pads and get in there myself."

Many schools are excited with Trinca's abilities. Iowa. Illinois. Northern Illinois. Western Michigan. Colorado. They have all offered scholarships.

But, Louis says he is not really in any hurry to make a decision.

"I want to take my time." he says. "I want to see how good the program is. I want to see the academic side as well. This is a big decision."

As for Iowa, they are in the mix because of their consistency.

"Yes, they are in there." Louis stated. "They are nice there. They don't change. They are always treating me the same."
