Isaiah Lewis Visits Iowa City

Isaiah Lewis has grown up dreaming about playing in the Big Ten, and he has several offers from league schools, including one from Iowa. On Saturday, Lewis made his first visit to Iowa City and here is a recap in his own words.

Q: Did you make it to Iowa this weekend?

Isaiah Lewis: I was in Iowa on Saturday. This was my first time going up there. When I went up there, I really liked the campus. It was big, but you can get around everywhere. they were really organized and I really liked watching them practice.

Q: Had you been familiar with the Iowa football program growing up?

Lewis: I watched Iowa play a lot of football, but this is the only time I have gotten close to them.

Q: What did you spend time doing on the visit?

Lewis: I talked with Coach Ferentz and I talked with my position coach Phil Parker. I didn't talk with many of the DB's, but I talked with Bradley Fletcher, he is going to the NFL. He was up there at practice and I was able to talk with him and I learned a lot about Iowa football and the campus, and how to stay out of trouble and keep everything organized.

Q: Is the Big Ten the league you have always seen yourself playing in?

Lewis: Yeah, I see myself playing for one of the big, Big Ten schools or playing for a big SEC school. I have been close to the Big Ten all of my life.

Q: When do you think you want to make your decision?

Lewis: I want to get it over before the season starts, maybe after our first game maybe. I will have my decision by then probably.

Q: Do you have a Top Three or Top Five right now?

Lewis: Iowa, Michigan State and Kentucky are my top three.
