Baldwin Nearing a Decision

Although the Iowa Hawkeyes received no verbals this past weekend, that will change in the next few days. One prospect the staff will concentrate on this week is WR/DB Bryan Baldwin. Now that he is nearing his decision, how does he view the Hawks?

Bryan Baldwin finished his last official visit this past weekend, and in due time.

"My Kansas visit was decent," Bryan stated. "There was nothing that really stood out. It was my last visit so I saw and heard all the same things. I think the coaches knew it'd be hard to impress me."

Bryan, who has taken official visits to Kansas State, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Kansas, will be making a decision by the end of this week. He has offers from all five programs, but his position is a bit uncertain.

"All of them, except Wisconsin, are recruiting me to play receiver. Iowa has kind of talked to me about both positions and I'd guess you could say they are recruiting me as an athlete. I'll have a decision definitely made by the end of this week."

So where do the Hawks currently stand with Baldwin?

"Iowa is one of the schools at the top of my list. They are pretty sound academically, and have a great football team. My visit there went very well."

Bryan was unaware of any schools attempting to schedule an in-home visit for this week.
