Below are comments from Coach John Each on all three prospects:
6'3 205 LB/ATH Nick Frere
"He plays everything for us. He runs sprints and throws shot put in track as well. He is a bit smaller now, but he has a wide frame and will put on weight. He has been timed at 4.6, and has the speed to play many different positions. He is by far the strongest player on our team. In fact, he cleaned 300 lbs. in the weight room just the other day."
6'3 190 QB Zach Wells
"Last fall was his first year starting as our quarterback. He finished second or third team all-conference. He is a southpaw (lefty) and has a rocket for an arm. He has been timed at 4.6, also, and has good mobility. We ran a lot of no back formations, and occasionally would run draws up the middle for him. He is able to throw on the run well. I know he'll be looking forward to your invitiation to Nike Camp this spring, and should compete very nicely."
6'1 175 WR/CB Mike Main
"Mike is a very explosive guy. He has been timed at 4.5, and has very good speed. He has good hands and has the ability to catch the ball in traffic. In our wide open offense, he is the main target for Zach."
Coach Each also has a prospect who may emerge late as a prospect with some growth. 6'1 215 OL/DL Jesus Ramirez has drawn a lot of good responses on his performance in the Mississippi Valley Conference.
The Muscatine program only continues to exceed its level of expectations. With three D1 prospects emerging for next fall, you gotta believe under Coach Each there will be more in the future in Eastern Iowa!
