Iowa Extends Offer to 4-Star, 2011 Receiver

With most of the 2010 class in the fold, Iowa continues to dig in on 2011 prospects. The Hawkeyes most recent offer went out to Michigan WR prospect DeAnthony Arnett.

Saginaw, Michigan receiver DeAnthony Arnett found another suitor for his services when he opened the mailbox on Saturday and saw a written scholarship offer from Iowa.

"Coach (Erik) Campbell came out here to see him last week," said Ralph Arnett, DeAnthony's brother. "He got the offer on (Saturday), and he's pretty interested in Iowa."

Campbell is well connected in Michigan after his long run coaching the Wolverines. rates DeAnthony as a four-star prospect on its five-star scale. He holds scholarship offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Oregon, Cincinnati, Wisconsin and Eastern Michigan.

Arnett visited Ohio State in November and is likely to be one of the top wide receiver prospects in the Midwest and nationally for '11. Through eight games as a junior, he caught 38 passes for 814 yards and nine touchdowns to go with four picks as a defensive back.
