ESPN Gameday To Visit Iowa City

IOWA CITY, IA – ESPN's GameDay will make Iowa City one of its stops during this year's inaugural spring football campus reports. The popular Saturday morning show during the collegiate football season will be making a mini-tour of collegiate campuses this spring and the University of Iowa is on its calendar for April 17th.

ESPN will, for the first time, expand its GameDay coverage to include spring football reports. ESPN's Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit will be the announcer team that will deliver reports from Iowa City. The network is planning on visiting five campuses (Iowa, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State and Ohio State), beginning April 14th.

The visit to Iowa City is planned for Thursday, April 17th. Specific plans haven't been finalized, but the telecast is expected to occur late in the afternoon at Kinnick Stadium. The practice and GameDay will be open to the public. Details of the visit will be announced at a later time.

Iowa's spring game is set for April 19th at 1 p.m. in Kinnick Stadium.
