As a junior, the 5'11, 175-lb Carter had five interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 11 pass breakups and 48 tackles. That great season has lead to four FBS offers.

"I have offers from Kent State, Stanford, Iowa, and Arizona," Carter said.

There are also a few schools who have not yet offered, but are keep close tabs on Carter.

"Cincinnati, West Virginia, Ohio U, a lot of MAC schools," he reported. "Syracuse has been calling a lot. Those are mainly the schools."

Carter has not had many opportunities to get out and see various colleges, but that should be changing soon.

"I've been to Kent State, but haven't visited or been around the whole campus. I will be visiting Iowa and Stanford this summer. Arizona, I'm going to visit them too, but I don't have an exact date yet. Arizona and Stanford will be back to back visits this summer."

While he has not visited these schools, Carter has had contact with the staffs.

"The Iowa coaching staff seems real cool. I talk to the recruiting coordinator and defensive back coaches. They seem real cool. I don't know anything else about them, other than they're a good team. That's why I want to visit them this summer."

As for Stanford, Carter said, "I like their coaching staff a lot too. They seem really cool. They say they need to fill that corner spot. I'm highly interested in Stanford right now, and eager to go visit there."
