Junior to Watch: TE/OLB Dallas Cawiezell

In recruiting, the term potential can often be weighed very highly in a lot of school's evaluations. That case will likely fit the scenario for many schools while evaluating North Scott TE/OLB Dallas Cawiezell (6'5 215). The multi-sport athlete has already begun to field divison one interest.

Name: Dallas Cawiezell

Position: Tight End/Outside Linebacker

Size: 6'5 215

School: North Scott High School (Eldridge, IA)

Schools Showing Interest: Iowa, Iowa State, Northern Iowa

Early Word on Dallas:
The state of Iowa will proudly be passing on one Dallas to the NFL ranks this spring as another prep emerges in the state of Iowa. It just so happens both Dallas's (Clark and Cawiezell) will likely be found at the same position: Tight End.

"Athletic ability wise, Dallas's best days are ahead of him," North Scott Head Coach Dave Jacobsen commented. "Some prospects mature out at end of high school, but Dallas is a guy teams are going to look upon to really hit his ceiling two or three years down the road."

Dallas not only competes in football, but also in basketball, track, and baseball. He recently scored 30 points and 13 rebounds in a clinching state district victory.

Dallas was also a state qualifier last year as a sophomore in the high hurdles, high jump, and 400. Much more is expected from him this upcoming spring. So how do these other talents correlate onto the football field?

"He has the ability to run and jump. He has some huge hands. I'd say he is versatile enough to play a number of positions because of his overall athletic ability."

Dallas completed a junior day visit this past Saturday to the University of Iowa.
