"I got a call from Rivals before I left for Florida (last week)," Boga said. "They asked if Iowa was recruiting me, I said yes and then they hung up. It was weird."
Boga said he's not spoken with anyone at Iowa. The Hawkeye staff contacted his coach last month, Boga returned the call, nobody answered and he left a message. That's as far as the relationship has gone.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard believes Iowa is interested in him. He's also hearing from Boston College. He said Wichita State, Missouri State, Nebraska and Wisconsin-Milwaukee are among schools that have offered scholarships.
"I'm nowhere near a decision," the Class of 2011 member said. "I've just been focused on playing this summer and haven't thought a lot about recruiting. My coach says I need to get my list down to five. After that, I'll probably take official visits."
Boga is hoping to receive more offers after he said he played well at the Peach Jam and the Super Showcase in Orlando this month. His St. Louis Eagles team reached the championship in Florida.
"I'm waiting to hear," Boga said. "I'll start thinking more about recruiting now."
