"Iowa is recruiting me," said Wormley. "They have been to my school to talk to me a few times. Right now, I'm taking it slow. I'm only a junior so I have a lot of time to decide where I want to visit and go."
As a sophomore in 2009, Wormley had 12 sacks for the 9-2 Whitmer Panthers. With already four offers in hand, he is expected to be one of most targeted players in the state of Ohio for the 2012 recruiting class.
"I thought I was just an average kid playing football my freshman. This whole experience is eye opening for me," said the defensive end. "For me, I'm looking for a good football program, good academics, and a place that makes me feel home."
Opposite of Wormley on the defensive line is Ken Hayes. Hayes is a Scout.com 4-star defensive end committed to Ohio State.
"I think we should be pretty good on defense this year," said Wormley. "We have almost all our starters back."
Even though his hard work has paid off to this point with multiple offers, Wormley isn't content.
"I've been working on my hands and my game IQ. I want to get stronger, get faster, and get my agility up. This year I want to get all-state and have at least 60 tackles and six sacks," he told Scout.com
Iowa will definitely be watching the 2012 rising star this upcoming season.
