Staying true to his statement earlier this summer, Pickerington Central (OH) cornerback Tamani Carter will visit Iowa this Friday. The senior has offers from "Iowa, Stanford, Kent State, Air Force, Minnesota, and Arizona.

"I thought I would let you know that I'm visiting Iowa this Friday," stated Carter to HawkeyeInsider.com. "I don't want to make a commitment probably until during the season or after the season. I want to take official visits."

At this point, Carter's recruitment seems wide open, the senior is not giving any hints to who might be sticking out.

"I want to first visit Minnesota and Arizona also before I put a certain school out as a leader," said Carter.

As a junior, the 5'11, 180-lb Carter had five interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), 11 pass breakups and 48 tackles.

Carter runs a 4.48 forty and will look to gain about five pounds before the start of the season. Pickerington Central finished 10-2 last season and return many starters from last year's squad.

"Practices are going great, our team has been working really hard to get ready for the season," said Carter. "We are fired up for week one against Plainfield."

HawkeyeInsider.com will continue to monitor Tamani Carter's recruitment and inform Iowa fans how his visit goes this weekend.
