Iowa commitment Austin Blythe and Williamsburg opened their season on Friday with a convincing 55-7 win against Center Point-Urbana.

"No sacks allowed," said the offensive guard to HawkeyeInsider.com. "We played pretty well, the starters didn't play in the second half."

Williamsburg (3A) has went 17-4 in the last two seasons. With ten players returning on offense that have varsity experience and nine on defense, expectations are high for the Raiders.

"No matter how good you think you did, there is always something to work on," said Blythe. "We left some points out there and didn't finish some drives, which we need to do to beat the best teams in the state so that's what we will be working on."

Williamsburg should have a tougher time next week, the Raiders will take on Mt. Pleasant and Iowa commitment Henry Krieger-Coble.

"It should be a good game," said Blythe.

Blythe is a three-star offensive guard and ranked No. 22 nationally.
