Recruiting battles are decided on Signing Day - not before when the verbal commitment of a recruit is non-binding.

If you have followed recruiting for any length of time you surely know by now that even on the mornings of signing day, recruits often change their minds.

Literally every year there is a change of heart where one recruit decided to go in another direction and commit to another school. Something that seemingly comes out of left field and leaves recruiters in shock. Before the ink dries, there are suprises galore all across the country and there are schools vying for the signatures from future student athletes.

Having taken in numerous camps this year, La'Darius committed to Texas Tech in early June. In next week's interview, we will bring you the latest on La'Darius Newbold's recruitment.
