What 'Cat Is Missed Most?
So which Wildcat that reached NFL status this fall from the 2002 team does Kansas State miss most?
The question was posed to coach Bill Snyder.
"I think we're missing some personality," the KSU coach said. "Justin (Montgomery) and Jermaine (Berry) have played well for us up to this point in time, but we miss the presence of Tank Reese."
Snyder went on to explain that Reese, who was recently released by the Kansas City Chiefs, had a presence on the field "… that motivated players. He drew them together. He excited them."
Snyder said that K-State has certainly missed the play-making abilities of all the NFL-type players, but he added, "Tank was that one guy who cemented everybody together."
The K-State coach said this unit has some leaders, but added, "We probably don't have enough."
Players, that Snyder defined as having a sincerity, a trust and having a personality that demonstrates having nothing but the best interest of the football team at heart."
