Blue Chip Missouri WR has narrowed his choices down and once again the Hawkeyes find themselves on the outside looking in.

Only two schools remain for Jerrill Humphrey. The 6-5 receiver from Missouri has narrowed his select list of schools to Kansas State and rising in-state power Missouri. Humphrey will visit the Wildcats December 12 and the Tigers on December 6.

Originally Humphrey had high aspirations for Iowa, but the Hawkeyes have stopped calling. "I visited at Iowa, but I haven't heard from them in a while and I started to think more about K-State and Missouri," Humphrey said. "Both are good programs and I know K-State sends a lot of receivers to the NFL.

"I just tell them I'm down to two and that's it. Some schools still call, but I think most are getting the idea." However, on Humphrey's visit to Iowa, he became good friends with quarterback and fellow Wildcat prospect Nick Patton. The two had been looking at the nearly all the same schools.

"We talked a lot about the schools were thinking about since our lists were almost the same," he said. "He's a great quarterback. I sure wouldn't mind catching passes from him someday. We talked and joked about maybe going to the same school. Who knows?"

As first reported by K-Statefans.com, Patton's short list includes K-State, Kansas, and Missouri. Patton's decision came after seemingly naming Iowa his favorite following his September visit there.
