Well we finally saw the KSU team I told you was there. Today the offense, defense and special teams was clicking on all cylinders. Ell Roberson was passing as well as he ever had with a 71.1 passing percentage and Darren Sproles was playing like he was in a video game.
We seen great plays from Davin Dennis and Joe Lawson. Can we put Rashad Washington on the Olympic team? He was very fast in blocking two punts one for a safety and one for a td. Well now our defense is playing like the lynch mobs of old with their total control of colorado offense.
James Mcgill had a INT. retured for 13 yards and KSU was in the driver seat and ran colorado to the ground. Gary Barnett did win a award for being the worse excuse for a coach in history take that barney. Now we are going to be playing the Kansas Jayhawk well let see what we are facing this week.
First the Jayhawk have Bill Wittermore 6-0 205Lbs. who a solid leader in the jayhawk lineup his quick feet and cannon of an arm will help him out get out of sticky jams his offensive line get him into like the Colorado game. There he was 19-29 passing for 422 plus 45 yards on the ground. That tell me that if need be he won't be a idle target for KSU defense this weekend.
Second There is their running back Clark Green 5-11 205Lbs. he can run with the best of them also they have used him for screen passes out of the backfield. We shall see if he can be able to help Wittermore in this game.
Their wr is Mark Simmons 5-11 175 Lbs. he is not a good sized wr for this offense but he been able to make plays when they needed to start their rally. This week will he be able to handle KSU cornerbacks who are taller then him?
Everybody talking about ku head coach Mark Mangino true he have improved a team that didn't do anything last year to a team that could make it first bowl apperance since 1995. But how will he fared vs. his old coach Bill Snyder and playing at manhattan?
Well it gametime and let me tell you what's going to happen KSU finally got some confidence vs. Colorado and are feeling like they are back to playing KSU styles football. KSU will give KU some major headaches as far as the running game goes. Passing wise if ell keep up getting back up to form as a complete player we are going to be successful but if ell struggles then it going to be a long day.
My prediction it will be KSU 45 KU 3 even though Mangino have improved his team alot from last year bill snyder will have this team so pumped for this game they could fueled a carrier ship. This team have righted the ship and now we will have to see if this ship can cross the ocean or will it get hit by a missle and get sunked.
Extra points First one why did Gary Barnett cried about Ell Roberson scoring that last touchdown. Is it because he feel that he the only one that can run up the score. No wonder all his assistant left for ucla would you want a coach who take emblems off the team helmet as your boss not me.
Second will the new ACC be better then the big 12 no i don't think so. For starter bc,va tech and Miami basketball are not that good while big 12 basketball program are always winning championship and beside that big 12 are very competitive. Try to stay awake during a Georgia tech vs. va.tech basketball game you'll be out faster then Terrence Newman on a kick return.
Finally i like to say congrats to KSU woman vollyball team. They beat a strong Texas and nerbraska team and are now no.8 in the nation. Good job girls keep rolling along to the NCAA tournament.
Well till next time, Brad Essex
