Kansas State's need for defensive linemen and immediate help along the line has Brandon Daniel really looking hard at the Wildcats. TheInsiders has Daniel ranked as a two star prospect and the 64th best DT prospect in the country. These ratings should continue to rise however as more and more coaches across the country are exposed to this speedy DT who hails from Pompano Beach Florida.

As one of the Sunshine State's finest, Daniel's top five include K-State, Virginia Tech, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, and Maryland. But the Florida native also still has interest in the Florida Gators and Ohio State.

Asked what he likes best about Kansas State, "Kansas State plays great defense and they're real aggressive on that side of the ball," said Daniel, who at 6-5 285 pounds is a blur off the corner with 4.8 speed.

Asked his best attribute- ruining a Quarterback's day: "That's how I play. I'm fast off the ball and get to the quarterback a lot."

Though Daniel is being recruited as a defensive tackle, he's currently playing defensive end this season for Blanche Ely High School. "That's where they need me right now," he said. "I'm a run stopper mainly, but I can get a lot of pressure on the quarterback from either position."

Given the speed and talent that the State of Florida produces each year, Daniel is used to playing a high level of competition. Thus far, Daniel has visits set up with, Pittsburgh for Nov. 28, N.C. State Dec. 5, and K-State Dec. 19. He has already visited Virginia Tech in September and came away from this trip saying that he was open and wanting to take more visits. K-State's co-defensive coordinator Bret Bielema is recruiting Daniel for the Wildcats.
