KStateFans.com: So coach how is it going at Kentucky these days?

Coach Ron Hudson: we're 4-5 right now we just had a bye after losing to Arkansas in 7 overtimes. It was dishearting but we're a young team that still has to face Tennessee and Georgia. So these games are important so we can get to a bowl.

KStateFans.com: Who are some of the players that you are coaching on Kentucky?

Coach Hudson: Well our main guy is Jared Lorenzen he's been a great player who had to adapt to different coaching styles during his four years here. There are not alot of superstars right now cause we've got a young team.

KStateFans.com: Do you still keep in contact with people at Kansas State?

Coach Hudson: I still have friends there so yes I do. Coach Bill Snyder,Joann the secretary and others.

KStateFans.com: Who do you miss the most there at KSU?

Coach Hudson: The people, the community who respected me and alot of the players who I've coached with.

KStateFans.com: So coach why did you leave KSU?

Coach Hudson: I needed a new challenge plus I've wanted to see if I can be as successful here at Kentucky as I was at KSU.

KStateFans.com: Coach how is your relationship with Ell Roberson?

Coach Hudson: It has alway's been good. In fact, he called me last night about his game with Nebraska and talked about his classes so yes it alway's good to hear from Ell.

KStateFans.com: What did you think about Oklahoma 's win over Texas A&M with your friend Bob Stoops coaching that game?

Coach Hudson: Bob Stoop really had his team prepared for that game the fact that they only threw the ball 3 times in the second half and still score that many points showed me how well coached Bob Stoop has his team right now.

KStateFans.com: What is your favorite memory of coaching for KSU?

Coach Hudson: Beating Nebraska for the first time since 1968 at Manhattan was a good feeling. we got over the hump to get our first big 12 north title.

KStateFans.com: So how are the fans of Kentucky treating you?

Coach Hudson: They are a little upset about the team's play right now. It's sort of like the kstate fans were earlier this year. They got to see that this is our first year and it's going to take time to get players used to our system and get some of the players we need to improve the team.

KStateFans.com: So what you think about KSU vs. Nebraska this weekend?

Coach Hudson: I expect ksu to win they have the talent to beat nebraska and coach snyder will not have to motivate this team much to see that the game will make them one game closer to being big 12 north champion.

Thank you coach for the interview.

Coach Hudson: Your welcome Mr. Essex
