Andre Hall Takes First Visit

Three Big 12 schools highlight Hall's top five

He doesn't want to fight Kansas State's Darren Sproles for playing time as of right now.

That's the news coming from Garden City Community College running back Andre Hall after taking his first official visit to South Florida last week.

"He's a great running back," said Hall, who averaged 149 yards a game this past season. "I'm really not interested in redshirting right now, which I would probably have to do if I went to K-State. Sproles is one of the best backs in the country, and for now, I'm looking to go where I can play right away."

But while Hall hasn't entirely ruled out the Wildcats, he has narrowed his list to five, including Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Alabama, and South Florida.

Hall, who is a native of Florida, said his visit to South Florida went very well.

"I really had a good time there," he said. "It's a great school and close to home for me. I like that part of it a lot. I know pretty much half the team there too. Overall, they've got everything going for them, a good coaching staff and they're up and coming."

Once believed to be a December graduate, Hall said he now plans to take visits in January and will remain at GCCC till May.

"I have a little more time now to take my visits," he said. "I still like K-State in the top five, but I want to talk to them more before I schedule a visit there. We'll see what happens, but right now I'm still keeping all my options open."
