Manhattan Transfer?

One of the Nation's Top WR's --D.J Hord reflects on his trip to Manhattan.

Kansas City (MO) WR D.J. Hord (6-1, 190, 4.4) now denies a leader…but favors Notre Dame (visited), Missouri (visited), Kansas State (visited), Oklahoma and LSU (visited). All have offered.

"I've taken several official visits in the past few months and I've been able to look at all of them as pretty even. Right now I'm wide open," says Hord, from Rockhurst.

"I think I've got to watch the offense at Notre Dame some more and talk to their coaches and players. I want to see how the players feel about the program and stuff like that.

"Missouri's program is on the rise and they've got two QBs in Chase Patton, and their most recent commitment, from recruit, Chase Daniels. It shows that they're working to expand on their pass game some more.

"I talk a lot with the coaching staff from Kansas State, and especially when I went on my official visit there. They have some big-time receivers there and I really like the city of Manhattan. I like coaches (Michael) Smith (RBs), (Greg) Peterson (co-off coord/receivers) and (Bill) Snyder a lot…in fact, they're all great guys.

"Oklahoma always has a strong WR core. They run 3-4 WRs really deep and coach (Darrell) Wyatt (WRs) has been recruiting me really hard. I like their program a lot.

"LSU won the national championship last year. They have a lot of WRs that come in there and get the ball passed to them a lot. They have a good QB, Marcus Randall, who knows the system really well. I know I could go in there and play early.

"Nebraska has dropped out of my list of faves because I have not spoken with the coaches much lately."

Hord will officially visit Notre Dame (12/3), Missouri (12/10), LSU, Oklahoma and Kansas State.
