Nate Prater: Returns From Manhattan

Nate Prater returns from his Official Visit to Kansas State following Senior Day in Manhattan.

Three star tight end Nate Prater made his first official visit this past weekend to Manhattan, Kansas to watch the Kansas State Wildcats host the Iowa State Cyclones. Holding offers from each program, did the outcome of the game influence him at all?

"No, the score of the game doesn't matter to me," said Prater. "Kansas State had the game in control, and let it slip away. It didn't hurt nor gain anything for either program. Overall, I had a great visit to Kansas State with it being my first time down there, and I had some good experiences."

The fan support impressed Prater the most.

"I got to meet all the coaches for the first time, and they were all great guys," added Prater, who will officially visit Kansas and Iowa State in December. "My host was Victor Mann, and I got to hang out with a lot of team. I met the school president, and it was cool knowing he lives right on campus. Their fans were really into the game, making some noise, and they know the names of all of their football players."

It appears the recruitment for his services is coming down to three schools, too.

"Nebraska is talking to my coach still about possibly making an offer, but I haven't heard from Michigan or Oklahoma in a while. I'm going to give it another week or so to see if they want to enter the picture, or otherwise, it is down to the three schools I'm visiting. I'm pretty content with all three of the schools right now," stated Prater.
